GACC Update on Jan. 28

①7 new #US #pork#beef and #poultry #plants & #refrigerated warehouses were allowed to #export to #China since Jan. 21.

#GACC suspended the acceptance of import declaration for #meat products exported to China from #Australian plant (423) since Jan. 29 (Shipping date).
-#OIG Analysis: #TEYS AUSTRALIA NARACOORTE PTY LTD is one of the six Teys plants that got approval to export beef to China, and it was authorized to export frozen boneless and bone-in beef products to China. With this plant being suspended, there are a total of 9 approved Australian plants that have been suspended for exporting to China for various reasons.

③GACC suspended the acceptance of import declaration for products exported to China from #Italy since Jan. 24 inclusive (shipping date). 
-OIG Analysis: China issued the ban on pork imports from Italy due to the #ASF outbreak reported earlier this month by the European country. China's GACC issued the order this Wednesday and, since then, any product of this type that arrives in China and comes from Italy will be returned to its senders or destroyed. If the shipment of the merchandise was made before the issuance of this notification, said products must undergo a mandatory #quarantine to ensure their health.
